Luckily, there are a number of things you can do to reduce stress and keep your energy up for the following days. De-stressing is simply taking time out of your day to relax and focus on other activities instead. It’s something many of us don’t really think about until we need it, like after a long day at work. But de-stressing after work is as important as getting ready for bed or going to sleep!
Set Priorities
Making a priority out of de-stressing after work will make it far more likely you’ll actually do it. Instead of stressing about the past or the future, focus on setting a priority for the following day. For example, if you’re struggling to get to sleep, it’s much easier to set a priority for the next day and forget about it. On the other hand, if you spend the entire night stressing about work, you’re far less likely to be productive the next day.
Turn off the Tastes, Glances and Guilts
If you’re struggling to focus on something because you’re continuously distracted by things such as your cell phone, the smell of food in the kitchen or your colleagues, your computer or the TV – take a break and focus on something else for a few minutes. This is called “turning off the tastes, glances and guilt” and it helps to reduce stress. We know you are a hardworking forex broker in Brazil but don’t be afraid to take a time off from time to time.
Play Games
If you find yourself constantly switching between multiple devices, games or apps, it’s likely you’re spending too much time doing things which are time-consuming but not productive. Research has shown that when we use our devices, we’re more likely to feel anxious, less productive and even distracted when compared to when we don’t use them. So instead of sitting down in front of your computer or phone for hours on end, try these positive affirmations while you still can.
Find A Mentor
Mentor programs are fantastic for people who need a little help with project management or managing their day-to-day commitments. If you’re not sure where to start, try looking on websites or Facebook groups for people who are struggling with similar problems and need a listening ear. You can then use the information they provide as a reference when you’re struggling. Mentor programs connect people with similar problems or issues and helps you find others who understand what you’re going through.
Face Your Fears
As humans, all of our major life events cause us stress. But exposure to specific fears, such as public speaking, can be turner into stimming-out opportunities if we’re not careful. Fortunately, there are a number of ways to help yourself identify and tackle your fears. Writing down your fears will help you identify what’s going on inside of you and give you something to focus on when the anxiety gets to be too much. Once you know what you’re afraid of, you can begin to tackle it head-on.
Stop Fretting and Start Planning
Just because you’re struggling with de-stressing doesn’t mean you can’t do anything. If you’re struggling to get to sleep, try going to bed a little earlier the next day so you have more time left before you have to wake up for work.
It is not uncommon to feel very stressed after working a long day. Don’t be afraid to take a vacation or to de-compress your mind, you deserve it! When you are able to de-stress, you are able to come back to work more energized and motivated.
