The functional system of things at a molecular (nano) scale is known as nanotechnology. Check out here all the information that you need to know about the technology.
- It takes approximately 25400000 nanometers to create an inch
- Any regular newspaper is approximately 100000 nanometers thick
- Our hair is also around 100000 nanometers thick
- The diameter of our DNA is more than 2.5 nanometers wider
The renowned physicist Richard Feynman is the father of nanoscience. In the year 1959, he discussed the concept of nanoparticles for the first time in a meeting held at American Physical Society. The copy of the meeting is now entitled as “There’s Plenty of Room at the Bottom”. 22 years after it, in 1981 professor Norio Taniguchi named the practice as nanotechnology.
So, this is about nanoscience. Hope the post has helped you to understand all the nuts and bolts of the technology.
